The reason for your Mac device is getting flashing folder with question mark sign or flashing question mark in a folder, is due to your mac is unable to locate the system files or folders to startup disk. Shut down the Mac by holding down the power key until Mac shuts down. Hold Command and R key and turn on the Mac, hold the keys until you see the Apple logo. Mac will open in recovery mode.
